Fix Problems Of The Generals Game in One Topic
In this topic, I will explain the common problems in the zero hour game with mods and how to solve them
Problems that occur when starting the game
Problem #1: Nothing happens when i try start the game
Solution
*Delete the game shortcut on the desktop
*Go to the game file
*Right click on (generals.exe), then click (Send to), then Desktop Create Shortcut
Problem #2: Please make sure you have DirectX 8.1
Solution
*Download and install DirectX
*Run the game
Problem #3: You have encountered a serious error
Solution
*Your screen resolution dimensions must be matched to the dimensions in the
options file
*How do I know the resolution of my screen
*Right click on the desktop (display settings) option (display resolution) just below the numbers of the resolution screen
*Where do I find the options file
*Go to (This PC) and then go to (documents)
*Then open the Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data folder, there you will find the options file
*If the file does not exist you can download the file from here: Options
Problems that occur after launching the game
Problem #1: Base blows up after 30 seconds
Solution
*Delete the game
*Reinstall the game
Problem #2: Please insert the first game CD
Solution
*Go to the game file and then delete the file (GenTool) named (d3d8.dll)
Run the game
*If the first point does not work, delete the game and reinstall it
Problem #3: Slow game speed
Solution
*Disable antivirus software
*Run the game and then click on the option (options) a menu will open, there is an option (Detail) choose low
Problem #4: Sudden loss of game audio
Solution
*If the sound disappears while playing, on the keyboard, press (Esc) to open the game menu, then press the option (options) and then press (Accept)
*If the sound is not always there, move the mod file to the desktop
Problem #5: Pink texture inside game
Solution
*Make sure to install Zero Hour Generals before running any of the mods
*If the first point does not work, delete the game and re-install it

Problem 1: I can’t see others inside the game
Solution
*Install Radmin vpn
*Make sure you are logged into one of the Radmin vpn networks with the group
*Make sure to change the ip)) to 26.x.x.x inside the game via the (options)
*Make sure that the version of the general.exe file matches
Problem #2: Game has detected a mismatch
Solution
*Disable the firewall
*Make sure that the files match, whether it is a mod or zero hour
*If you are transferring a map within the game that contains an (ini) file, it will cause a (mismatch), so restart the game after transferring
*Make sure you and the person you’re playing with delete the gamedata file
*Where do I find this file? Go to the game folder, then open the (data) file, then the (ini) file
